Welcome To MermaidSprings We are located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country on beautiful spring-fed Johnson Creek, home to Blue Herons, Redtail Hawks, Snapping Turtles, Guadalupe Bass, Whitetail Deer, Armadillos, Wild Boar and, of course, Mermaids. While we’re far from any ocean we’ve discovered that Mermaids don’t discriminate - they love water wherever it’s found, and you’ll find them basking in the sun on the white rocks of Johnson Creek, taking frequent dips in its cooling waters. I have always been inspired by the thought of Mermaids, beautiful women who are irresistibly attractive to men even though their body is half-fish - that image has always seemed to me to emphasize that the power of women lies more in their essential being than in their female gender. As an artist I am inspired by what lies beyond the obvious and the true nature of Mermaids speaks to that aspect of my vision.
